Wedding trends {pt 3}

Here's part three of my favorite wedding trends! One of my favorite parts about being a wedding photographer is keeping up with all of the creative new wedding trends! Every six months to a year, new wedding trends appear and older ones begin to fade out. As a wedding photographer, I get the exciting opportunity to see these trends displayed in actual weddings that I photograph and in styled wedding shoots that I organize and shoot! Because of this, I decided that I want to start blogging all of my favorite wedding trends every so often! Blogs like this were extremely helpful back when I was planning my wedding! So here are 5 more of my favorite current wedding trends.

1) Velvet bridesmaid dresses

I've really been seeing this done a lot lately! You may think that it's more of a fall and winter wedding look, but it's really not! I've seen several spring and summer weddings incorporate velvet bridesmaid dresses! They just look so elegant and add such a unique element!

2) Unique seating charts

This one is kind of broad, but almost every wedding needs a seating chart! And every guest that attends your wedding looks at your seating chart, so you may as well do something unique that no one else has ever seen before! So many fun ideas!

3) Neon signs

I freaking love neon signs and if I had a bigger budget for my own wedding, I totally would have bought one! They add such a unique and edgy element, make a statement, can be used for a photo backdrop, and you can use it afterwords in your house!

4) White bridesmaid dresses

I have alway been drawn and attracted to this trend! Some people have mixed emotions about it because they feel like the bride doesn't stand out as much. But I disagree! If the brides dress, hair, and bouquet is different than the rest she is totally going to stand out! Not to mention that bridal GLOW she has going on!

5) Tropical palms

Tropical palms are super great for minimalistic and modern weddings. They add the perfect pop of color and yet still keep everything clean and sleek looking.

Every wedding is unique and should be exactly the way YOU want it to be. So just because you decide not to use any of these trends or you are incorporating an "old" trend....that doesn't mean your wedding isn't stylish or beautiful! Every wedding is beautiful in it's own way and is special in it's own way, because each couple is beautiful and special in their own way! I'm not done yet people! Keep an eye out for my favorite wedding trends part 3!
