Wedding Trends {pt 2}

Here's part two of my favorite wedding trends! One of my favorite parts about being a wedding photographer is keeping up with all of the creative new wedding trends! Every six months to a year, new wedding trends appear and older ones begin to fade out. As a wedding photographer, I get the exciting opportunity to see these trends displayed in actual weddings that I photograph and in styled wedding shoots that I organize and shoot! Because of this, I decided that I want to start blogging all of my favorite wedding trends every so often! Blogs like this were extremely helpful back when I was planning my wedding! So here are 5 more of my favorite current wedding trends.

1) Unique altar backdrops

This one is kind of broad, but there are just so many unique and beautiful options out there! Unique altar backdrops is a great way to make a huge statement at your wedding ceremony, both for your guests and for photos!

2) Jewel Tones

I have been seeing the term "jewel tones" everywhere! had no idea what jewel tones even meant until I looked it up, but now that I know what it means and what it looks like, I am obsessed! It's a great color scheme for a bohemian wedding, summer wedding, or even a fall wedding!

3) Peacock chairs

This trend may be on its way out by now, but I don't care. Some people think it's overused (kind of like the Pampas grass), but once again, I don't care! I think Peacock chairs are gorgeous and I just obtained one from a local flea market myself! I can't wait to use it for a styled wedding shoot that I am planning and organizing!

4) Bridal hats

Bridal hats are the bomb. They look so fashionable, edgy, and exotic. You can dress the hat up or down as much as you want depending on what look you're going for. It's great for boho weddings, western elopements, or just a beautiful outdoor wedding!

5) Flower hoops

Not exactly if this is what they're called, but you get the point! This is such a unique option for your bridesmaids to hold instead of spending tons of money on a whole flower bouquet!

Every wedding is unique and should be exactly the way YOU want it to be. So just because you decide not to use any of these trends or you are incorporating an "old" trend....that doesn't mean your wedding isn't stylish or beautiful! Every wedding is beautiful in it's own way and is special in it's own way, because each couple is beautiful and special in their own way! I'm not done yet people! Keep an eye out for my favorite wedding trends part 3!
